Yesterday my wife who likes mostly Tamil puzzle could not solve it but solved the English clue for PRIGGISH despite not knowing that word before. I always felt good clues are not necessarily for rarely used words or obscure words. So today it was a pre-meditated attempt to use a simple word and SIMPLE suggested itself.
