This part also leads to a store house called பாவுள். The இரேழி gets natural lighting through a stained glass fanlight window called சாளரம். In some houses the paddy silo called குதிர் is here. 2 doors open from the back end of the இரேழி, one leading to the kitchenette called சின்ன அடுக்களை and another to the low ceiling covered part whose name will be revealed later. Then there is உள்முற்றம் with grill in the roof, a main kitchen the பெரிய அடுக்களை. A large wooden door leads to the குச்சில், a kind of isolation room to put it mildly and open air area of வெளி முற்றம், கிணறு, மாட்டுக்கொட்டில் & கொல்லை. Though there are no side windows (because of row house structure), there is abundant natural lighting and natural cooling
