Solution to Krypton 216

Today's clue:
It is confusing for me, Editor imprisoned is on the contrary enjoying this! (7)

Its solution:   FREEDOM = FOR ME + ED

I had  to rewrite this clue three times to get it right.  Just because many crosswords use DEE for river I used it in the first draft: something like river flowing upstream from outside.   But I'd no feeling for Dee. It did not sound right as connecting it with the meaning of Freedom was difficult.  Then I changed it. The second version   going like "Deer trapped in foam without  a  hope for liberation"  was confusing for me. So in the third  final version I used "It is confusing for me"!

Hope you enjoyed it.

Here is the list of answers received for this.

A peek into today's Krypton!

The author tried to make the puzzle difficult for the solvers, with his diversional tactics with more than one indicator, such as confusing, imprisoned, contrary , and last but not least (!).
How for he has succeeded in spinning this spider's web will be known from the list of solvers.
It's an enjoyable nice riddle!

It is confusing for me, Editor imprisoned is on the contrary enjoying this! (7)

Editor = ed (abbreviation)
imprisoned= ed caught in between (for me)
It is confusing = anagram indicator for (for me + ed)
= freedom
on the contrary enjoying this!
= freedom ( antonym for imprisonment)

The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear.

I would say the second attempt comes close to a great surface, but alas, hope for liberation is not freedom. Using less known meanings for Freedom, like license or sanction can make it work. Deer turning back trapped in foam without a license. Not sure if this is good.

The third one did a wonderful job of hiding the angarind and the fodder.

@Muthu: Thanks for pointing out the wrong link. I has now been set right.

@Ravi Sundaram: Even though deer and trapped looked great, but FOAM was sticking out and so I decided to give it a miss.

@RaghavanMK: Let us hope the word will not come to a stage where editors(journaists) are imprisoned.

Later I discovered that the word meant body. So I suppose our popular usage came from a description of a chaotic situation like mayhem, with bodies strewn about!
