Today I had committed a blunder in the clue. Despites that obstacle this was solved by many.
The erroneous clue today was:
Pledge deed without ends to a group constituted for a task (9)
The solution is COMMITTEE = commit + ee
There is no indication in the clue for inserting another 't'.😭
(I know this word from my college days as one having three doubled letters,
two m's, two t's and two e's. So it is all the more embarrassing to learn that I goofed this up).
I apologize to others who were misled unfairly.
