As we were discussing a while back (even quoting what writer Sujatha was saying on this topic), most fans/readers/audience don't bother to provide good feedback for puzzles/poems/stories/speeches they consume. This includes all of us, as we don't comment or appreciate or even point out what can be improved in activities we come across. This doesn't mean that we don't routinely enjoy them. Today I solved the Krypton working it out with my daughter and she was genuinely tickled when we verified that the answer we came up with works both for RHS and LHS (thus appeared correct). Since we were attending a Sashtiyapthapoorthy function at that time, I even ended up showing the Tamil Udhirivedi puzzle to another (our age group) friend of mine, encouraging him to dive in daily. Not sure if he will or not. But you can be rest assured that people like us are enjoying your puzzles on a daily basis all around the world.

Unfortunately even those who enjoy not providing any feedback makes them indistinguishable from those who don't enjoy it. I don't get very many comments/feedback for anything I write/post either. Facebook/LinkedIn type sites providing a simple "Like" button and people clicking on it and counting how many likes one got for a post is a lazy substitution. While it may be better than nothing, it lets away consumers off the hook too easily. So, undoubtedly, we should strive to regularly post sincere useful comments/feedback, not only here for your puzzles but wherever we interact with people/activities. I am planning to improve as I grow older. :-)

Thanks Sundar Vedantham. Sujatha's observations are valid for print media where providing feedback means going to a post office,. buying a card writing it out and then search for a post box to mail it.
One thinks technology made it possible for us to give our feedback from our bed even before getting up.

Once in a few months I see new names participating in giving answers which I feel must be the result efforts like yours suggesting to others about these puzzles. Thanks again

What you have said about effort involved is very true. But comments I see online often seems to illustrate the flip side of this equation. If we look at articles at random on sites like Dinamalar.com, they seem to elicit a lot of feedback/comments that are invariably garbage! Certainly the ease with which comments can be posted online, that too anonymously, seems to have contributed to this trend. We can see many of those people wouldn't have bothered to write it up in a postcard and mail it to Dinamalar in yesteryears. Of course there is a big difference between sites like Dinamalar.com and ours since the quality of what is being presented is also quite different attracting different audiences. Audience in our group are self-selected cryptic enthusiasts and so probability of discussions deteriorating to that level is very low. So, more comments is any day better than less comments. If the quality of the feedback is also very high, it will be heartening for those who create the content. :-)
