Solution to Krypton 147

Today's clue:

I wed  and  embraced Buddhism  showing sign of old age  (7)

Its solution: WIZENED = I + WED +  ZEN
Today's clue, I  notice belatedly now , suffers from two defects: mixing up tenses, 'wed" in present tense and "embraced" in past.
Further I'd omitted indicator for anagram.  Hope it did not confuse you.

I knew it was an anagram of iwed and some Buddhist term. But could not think of zen and wizened. Good clue.

During wedding rituals perhaps you chose the correct direction north for Kasi Yaththirai. Had you deviated slightly eastwards Gaya Yaththirai would have shown you the to the way of Zen :=)

இன்று காலை வெளியான வெடி திருமகளே  பரம்பரையில் வாய்த்திருப்பதால்    ஏற்பாடுகளில்  ஒரு பரபரப்பு  (5) இதற்கான விடை:  களேபரம் இன்று காலை கேசவன் இவ்விடை பற்றியும் "களேபரம்" என்ற சொல்லின் பொருள் பற்றியும் (எனக்குத் தெரியாத) விவரங்களை அனுப்பியிருக்கிறார். அதை அப்படியே இங்கே வெளியிடுகிறேன்: I was also of the opinion that களேபரம் meant something like chaos till my wife learnt a song on Ganesha where the line சுத்த களேபரம் சோம  கலாதரம் appeared and confused me. Later I discovered that the word meant body. So I suppose our popular usage came from a description of a chaotic situation like mayhem, with bodies strewn about!
