To learn that Lamb refers to Jesus Christ was bit confusing to me at the first time. Because having seen picturs of Jesus with a lamb in arms, and also seen that Good Shepherd refers to Jesus it took me a while to accept it. Possibly the innocence associated with lambs is the reason behind it I guess.
