Solution to Krypton 378

Yesterday's clue: Crow is a serpent with straw but not green (5)
Its solution: BOAST = BOA + STRAW - RAW

Boa = a serpent
Raw = Green
To crow = to boast
I apologize for nearly 2-hour delay in the morning. I had to prioritise making another question paper, rushing to meet a deadline. Seeing some new names among the solvers. Welcome!

Straw not green --> straw - raw = st is a good wordplay.

The straw (i imagine hay from paddy "vaikkol") is brown and not green was what I'd in my mind.

It was great clue, when i saw green “raw” was the first word/synonym that came to my mind.
And yes boast is definitely not a commonly used meaning for crow. It was great distraction.

இன்று காலை வெளியான வெடி திருமகளே  பரம்பரையில் வாய்த்திருப்பதால்    ஏற்பாடுகளில்  ஒரு பரபரப்பு  (5) இதற்கான விடை:  களேபரம் இன்று காலை கேசவன் இவ்விடை பற்றியும் "களேபரம்" என்ற சொல்லின் பொருள் பற்றியும் (எனக்குத் தெரியாத) விவரங்களை அனுப்பியிருக்கிறார். அதை அப்படியே இங்கே வெளியிடுகிறேன்: I was also of the opinion that களேபரம் meant something like chaos till my wife learnt a song on Ganesha where the line சுத்த களேபரம் சோம  கலாதரம் appeared and confused me. Later I discovered that the word meant body. So I suppose our popular usage came from a description of a chaotic situation like mayhem, with bodies strewn about!
