This week an additional responsibility given to me at my university
has been to organize some online events on 22nd December, the birthday of
mathematician Ramanujan. It was a pleasure to see the work of some of the participants
in the preliminary round. I am looking forward to the actual day's events. While translating
Kanigel's MAN WHO KNEW INFINITY, besides learning about Ramanujan, I learnt so much about life in India at the times around 1900.
I can write about a few of those things here. But I am undecided about it.
In this blog along with my own attmpts at puzzle-making I wanted to expand to
other things. In that way introduced Afterdark's (kaariravu) Tamil puzzle, two weeks ago and Dr X's wonderful clue last week etc.
But what make me hesitate isVanchinathan
